9/9: Præstø - Sundby

2513.5km in 149:40 (54*46'31"N, 11*50'46"E)
A small and interesting day on the bike: the rhythms and tempo is quiet different when you travel in groups, but you learn much more: my co-traveller is very curious and likes to speak. Maybe you know me good enough to know that I'm not a person which like to speak a lot: I'm someone who likes to listen the story of others. At the end, we are quiet compatible. We also noticed that all planes we made yesterday evening (which way we will take, where and why) felt in the water and we took a different way: it was not a deception for me, it's like traveling twice (in the evening you can dream yourway and the day after you juste go where you want to, whatever the dream was).

There is not so much to tell about what I saw on the road today: yellow fields with corn, brown fields without corn, small green forest, big blue sky, grey road or gravel road. For me, the road was flat... Annette remembered me that it is going up and down and that the wind is the worst enemy of the biker. Well she lives in a flat country and wasn't in Norway (from 0 to 1300m over see level) a few weeks ago. For me it's not a problem; I can drive slower and enjoy the yellow fields with corn, brown fields without corn, small green forest, big blue sky, grey road or gravel road. Because even if it looks like very boring, the colors are juste wonderfull!

So we left the big island on which is Copenhagen to go on a smaller one: Falster. We are a good team and we both know when it's time to make a break: I visited the east coast of this island and Annette the west coast and we met in front of a monastery in Nykøbing where we ate something together. After that break we went together over a bridge to the next island: Lolland. We decided to stop in Sundby, juste after the bridge, to pick up our tents in a small camping...
We learned there that Denmark offers over 1000 places where bikers, hikers or people with a canoe or a kayak can sleep in tents for free or very cheep (we paid 20 danish crones per person for one night: a normal camping costs about 70 or more). Of course there is no shower, but you can get some fresh water and it's a safe place (wild camping is strictly forbidden in Danemark)!
